Rick Fearon should apologise for accusing faders of being cowards
by cedars ini hate doing this type of thread.
none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.
however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.

Get over yourself, Sizemik.
It IS low class to pick on ppl's appearances. If you'd had to put up with it all your life you'd understand why.

Exciting experience about Amish couple joining JWs - and the shunning begins!
by Bonnie_Clyde inmy daughter is also on her email list.
i believe my daughter has informed her that i dont go to meetings any more, and i think my friend is trying to encourage me.
however, my daughter has shunned me, my husband and her two brothers for almost five years even though none of us are dfd.

Hi Bonnie_Clyde, I agree with your idea, although I would be more pointed in my comment, like "How horrible that a religion forces its members to shun family or friends because they disagree with the religious leaders!!"
I agree. Say something to make them think.

When will the awful shunning nightmares stop?
by serenitynow! init's bad enough that i am being shunned in real life by my family in ohio who i had always been close to.
ever since i have had at least one dream a week about being around my family but they refuse to talk to me.. will the dreams ever stop?
how can i make them stop?.

Write down your dreams.
What happens in them? Who is there? Who shuns you and who doesn't? What are your feelings? What is the "vibe" that you get from the others in the dream?
In my amateur opinion, I would say your subconscious is telling you that you need to deal with your feelings about being shunned. That's why you keep dreaming about it.

Going by Badfish's previous posts, I'd say he's just messing with us.
Good morning Badfish, how are you today?

Table cloths are often used on picnics because sometimes the state of the table may not be the cleanest. But I wouldn't use a light, dainty one like in the pic. It could easily be snagged and ruined.

I'm no fan of Rick's but it's low class to pick on someone's physical appearance.
Just sayin'.

Latest May 2012 Watchtower: "JW wives must be more lovable"
by cedars inyes, the latest watchtower is upon us.
it opens with a typically outlandish article on marriage.
here are a few of the headlines:.

Broken Promises
"It is natural that a Christian husband loves his wife the prestige and position of slaving as a WT elder and wants to protect her generally neglects his wife and children, unless it's a "family study" where the parents both count the time with the unbaptized children."
That's much closer to the truth.

What's wrong with this pic?
The husband: is too thin. Most married guys with kids have a pot belly by the time their kids are in their teens.
The wife: what woman wears a knee-length skirt on picnics?
Teenage boy: looks too happy. Should be depressed or emo, or both.
Teenage girl: also wearing a skirt. Is also too happy. Should be hunched over checking Twitter or facebook.
Young boy: Probably the only normal one in the whole bunch. Will figure out the JWs is a pile of crap in a couple of years and leave as soon as he can.

Higher Education ... Thoughts, Tips, Money-saving Ideas
by RubaDub inwhile i have a bachelors and advanced degree from a very well-respected university, it makes me cringe when i see what people spend (or think they need to spend) to get a college degree.
having taken a few non-traditional steps to get my education, here's a few thoughts and ideas to think about if your kids are getting to be college age or if you (like many jw's) are thinking about going to college later in life:.
1. community colleges are a bargain!.
